01 / THE BACKGROUND
Context
Humanly is a psychology-learning app I am developing. It draws on my psychology training to help people learn psychological concepts through three modes: Understand, Study, and Practice. It is strictly educational: it does not diagnose, assess, or treat psychological or mental-health conditions.
Who it is for
Students and adults who want to learn psychology; not people seeking diagnosis or treatment.
02 / THE DESIGN QUESTION
The challenge
Psychology content has to be accurate, approachable, and clearly educational, so the product must teach without ever appearing to offer diagnosis, assessment, or treatment.
Goals
- Explain psychological concepts clearly and accurately.
- Let learners move between understanding, studying, and practicing.
- Keep a firm boundary between education and clinical functions.
03 / MY CONTRIBUTION
What I brought to the project
- Product concept and architecture
- UX, onboarding, and content architecture
- Structured and localized psychology-learning content
- Implementation specifications, review, and QA
04 / THE THINKING
Approach & process
I designed the product around three learning modes and an onboarding flow that adapts the learning path to what each person wants to learn. Content is written in a structured, localizable form; implementation is specified in writing and built through an AI-assisted workflow; and each stage is reviewed and tested against the requirements.

Key decisions
- Organize learning into Understand, Study, and Practice.
- Keep the app strictly educational, with no diagnosis, assessment, or treatment features.
- Write content in a structured, localizable form from the start.

06 / OUTCOME & REFLECTION
What the work shows
Humanly is in development and has not been publicly released. No user, usage, or learning-impact results are claimed.
Reflection & next steps
Clinical training makes the educational boundary a design requirement, not a disclaimer added at the end.
